How much of your salon still runs on you?

Seven questions. No email, no signup.

Question 1 of 7Evenings
It's 21:40. A regular messages you on Instagram asking if you have a slot tomorrow. What actually happens?

Answer seven questions about how bookings actually reach you — Instagram DMs, Viber, phone calls, walk-ins — and you'll get your booking type plus an estimate of what the gaps cost you each month. No email, no signup, and nothing leaves your browser.

What the quiz actually measures

Two things. The first is manual load — how much of taking an appointment depends on you personally being reachable. The second is the money that leaks out of it: the enquiries that arrive and never turn into a booking. Neither is a measure of how hard you work. Plenty of very well-run salons score badly here, because the load comes from the setup, not from the owner.

  • Every question is about your week, not about software. There's nothing to know in advance and nothing to look up.
  • Answers are bands, not exact figures. You aren't expected to know precisely how many messages you got last week — and a result built on a guessed-at precise number would be worse, not better.
  • The money estimate assumes only 60% of lost enquiries would actually have booked. That's the same deliberately conservative rate our no-show calculator uses, so the two never contradict each other.
  • Nothing is stored. The result is worked out in your browser and disappears when you close the tab.

Questions about the quiz

How long does the quiz take?
About sixty seconds. There are seven questions, every answer is a single tap, and there is nothing to type.
Do I have to give my email to see the result?
No. The result appears the moment you answer the last question. There's no email step, no signup, and no gate of any kind.
How is the monthly figure calculated?
We take the enquiries you say never turn into a booking, assume 60% of them would have booked if answered in time, then multiply by your average appointment price and by 4.33 weeks in a month. The full sum is printed under the number so you can check it yourself.
Is this only for hair salons?
No. It's written for anyone who takes appointments and receives a lot of them by message — barbershops, hair and nail salons, spas, beauty studios, tattoo artists and independent therapists all recognise the same week.
What if I score well?
Then you score well, and the result says so plainly. One of the five outcomes is for salons that genuinely have booking handled — it exists precisely so that the other four mean something.
